About News

What's Happening in the World of Bigfoot?

Considering most of the world doesn't believe a sasquatch-like creature even exists, it's not surprising that news is hard to come by.

Fortunately, however, there are a few sources out there staying on top of things and providing fresh, frequent content.

Here are the sources we're currently using to provide our news updates:

Bigfoot Forums

The Bigfoot Forums are the "King Daddy" of the Sasquatch forums online. This is where you go if you want to engage in Sasquatch talk.

Sporting almost 10,000 registered members, the forums contain over half a million posts on a wide range of topics including sightings, conferences, field research and more. And perhaps best of all, they provide a feed of their most recent posts.

Bigfoot Lunch Club

The Bigfoot Lunch Club blog has emerged as a critical source of news for anyone wanting to know what's happening in the world of Bigfoot. Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, this Blog has its' pulse on happenings which originate in that part of the world. Exhaustively scanning all possible news sources (including, but not limited to, local Newspapers and television broadcasts), the Bigfoot Lunch Club is often the first to post information about recent -- as well as -- emerging events.

And if you did not already realize, these are the same folks who bring us the Interactive Bigfoot World Map, which we proudly showcase here at The Hub.

Blogsquatcher

Blogsquatcher is one of the best Bigfoot blogs on the web -- especially lately with new posts arriving virtually daily. As an added bonus, this blog has ties to SasquatchWatch Radio, so it's an all around good place to get updated information on news, events, and what's happening in the community.

Cryptomundo

Cryptomundo is simply fantastic. What makes it fantastic, you ask? First, most of the posts are submitted by Loren Coleman, author of countless big hairy hominid books and frequent guest on MonsterQuest. Second, Loren pushes out about a gazillion posts a day. Third, the site has a huge following and it's great fun to read the comments posted by users.

True, this blog is not sasquatch-specific, but due to the high volume of posts you can almost always count on something good about the Big Guy showing up here.

Google News

Getting news from Google is little tricky, since doing a news search by keyword like "bigfoot" could also pull up monster trucks. -But we do our best to screen out the garbo and only pull back what's relevant to the interests of our visitors.

Oregon Bigfoot

Autumn Williams has started publishing a Blog from her website, OregonBigfoot.com. If you're not familiar with Autumn Williams or her site, let us just say this ... you're missing out!

Autumn is a true researcher. Her website was the first of its kind on the Web to publish a Sightings Database (yes, even before the BFRO). Her writing style is casual, witty, comedic and informative all at the same time. We're very pleased to provide News feeds this great reseource.

Stan Courtney

So here's what Stan Courtney does: He goes out into the Illinois woods and records sounds. Lots of sounds. Sounds that may also be created by Bigfeet (our made-up plural for 'bigfoot').

While there's not necessarily fresh content posted here daily, what does get served up is great stuff, so we're bringing it to you anyway.

Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy (TBRC)

Cool, cool, and more cool. The TBRC is easily one of the Top 5 Bigfoot sites on the Internet.

The TBRC even has an annual conference. An annual conference! Can you believe that!? Not only do they have any annual conference, but it is THE annual bigfoot conference. Yep...these guys set the bar pretty high.

AND they have a sightings database. AND they have a awesome new map tool. AND - most importantly in the context of this page - they provide news feeds.
